Song Joong Ki and Kim Soo Hyun Living Parallel Lives

Two of Korea’s most popular actors, Song Joong Ki and Kim Soo Hyun, have careers that seem to rum parallel to each other. The February 1 airing of MBC’s Section TV Celebrity News analyzed their acting careers, and found that while they seem so different in so many ways, they are actually quite similar.

Both actors have gained fame as the hottest actors of last year. Their handsome looks and outstanding acting skills quickly grabbed the attention and affections of female fans. It seems as if their lives intersect at certain points.

The first thing they have in common is that they both have natural good looks. It also turns out that both of them had experience appearing on TV before they debuted: Song Joong Ki was on a quiz show when he was a freshman at Sungkyunkwan University, and Kim Soo Hyun was in the cast of MBC’s TV Scoop Wonderful World. Moreover, they both hosted music programs in the same year. In SBS’s drama series Will it Snow for Christmas?, Song Joong Ki played the role of an elder brother who deeply cares about his sister while Kim Soo Hyun portrayed the character who was in love with that sister. They have stood out in Korean historical series as well. Song Joong Ki gave a charismatic appeal as a young King Sejong the Great in SBS’s The Deep Rooted Tree. Kim Soo Hyun, on the other hand, played the charismatic King Lee Hwon in MBC’s The Moon that Embraces the Sun. Lastly, their movies have also made big hits. Song Joong Ki’s movie The Werewolf Boy became a box office hit, and Kim Soo Hyun enhanced his reputation with the movie The Thieves.

  1. Song Joong Ki is a naturally good looking man, from infancy to manhood. Childhood playmates will always recognize our handsome Joong Ki. Meanwhile, some appearances are made for character entertainers, too much cosmetic enhancement and you become fake, unreal, an impostor in your own body.
