The two stars of the SBS drama ‘Deep Rooted Tree’ share heartwarming text messages delighting the netizens in the season of giving.
On the 22nd after ‘Deep Rooted Tree’ had aired its final episode, Song Joong Ki sent a message to Jang Hyuk, “Hyungnim, I really enjoyed the last episode. The best”, to which Jang Hyuk replied, “It’s all thanks you paving the way in the beginning. Let’s meet up soon” and he returned the same appreciative sentiment.
Song Joong Ki starred as the young ‘King Sejong’ in the first half of the drama and had helped put the drama on the map. So Jang Hyuk was giving the credit for the success of the drama to Song Joong Ki, for his great work on leading the drama in the beginning. Song Joong Ki and Jang Hyuk belong to the same management company, Sidus HQ and the two were close friends even before the drama.
In the last episode of ‘Deep Rooted Tree’, in the last scene all of the main characters including Jang Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, Yoon Je Moon, and Jo Jin Woong meet shocking deaths putting tears in eyes of many viewers. The last episode recorded an impressive rating of 25.4%.
